The environmental impact our business has is very important at HFM.

Occasionally, to keep a full range we have to resort to procuring produce which has been transported to Britain via aeroplane.

We don’t believe in being overly prescriptive about what our customers can and cannot have. However, we believe passionately in transparency. This is why anything that has been transported by air will be displayed on this page.

The greenhouse gas emissions attached to air cargo are up to fifty times higher than sea cargo, which is why this mode of transport is only used for the most perishable produce.
